I recently attended an electric cello performance by Gideon Freudmann.  It’s been a while since I went to a live music performance, and in the course of it I was struck by something simple:

I could feel the sound vibrations in my body.  This isn’t exactly news, but my association for the feeling of it might be.  It feels like energy.

In previous posts I tried to describe the “buzzy” feeling in my body I associate with sensing energy.  It’s difficult to capture in words, it’s like amplifying the sense of someone entering the room with a lot of static noise.  A more pleasant and accessible description of it though is the feeling of music.  Especially live music, played 10 feet away from you by a talented musician, when it melts into the walls and floors and electrifies the senses.

To understand what I mean, I offer taking time to sit still and listen to music.  As you do, open into your heart, and notice how you feel the vibrations of sound in your body.

This is the feeling of energy, or the nearest approximation I can find.  For more, I invite you to listen to Gideon.
