The following is adapted from a reading I recently did for a client:
“Think of the blocks in your life as building blocks.
Experience is itself transformative, it is always in motion and permeable to intention. There are never blocks, only points of motion in progress.
When addressing something, look for how it serves you, and you will find that it does. If you watch for how it stops you, it will. In this way you have a choice. Whatever you experience, build from it, and it will build.”
In adopting this guidance for my own life, I’ve focused on surrendering my concepts about how I am blocked. Anything that might arise as a setback – a location for a workshop falls through, I get sick, or I embarrass myself in front of others – then becomes a door opening. I focus on paying attention to the various things it can lead to, without minding too much about what it may or may not be preventing.
For myself, this guidance is about seeing where events lead us when we let go of worry or concern about how they should be different. How much magic we allow when we stop resisting and open to what is.
